About Us

LaShon Carter, Wife, Mother, Entrepreneur, and native of Chattanooga, TN. Graduated from Chattanooga State Technical Community College with a degree in Human Services. LaShon’s journey begins in 2012 working with children and parents. As a childcare provider for six years. After being in the infant room for over 4 years, She moved up to an assistant director position, with little to, no formal training. LaShon decided to seek additional training outside of her Job to adapt to her new role. LaShon created a vision board with her daughter, husband, and son. Together they opened: Tiny Tigers Family daycare in their home. In 2017, the Carter family founded the Tiny Tigers Learning Center. Tiny Tigers Learning Center has been nominated five times in a row for the best daycare in Chattanooga, TN. LaShon serves on several Education boards that help support early childhood development. During the pandemic, She recently launched her newest venture called: The EDU-Station, where they make education fun. The EDU-Station Store provides Affordable and Reusable Educational Materials that are perfect for any curriculum! Their instructors teach educators how to make learning fun in their classroom programs, to be more enjoyable for their students. The Let’s Go Express Kits are perfect for childcare providers looking to educate their children from ages 1-5. The learning materials inside the Let’s Go Express Suitcases are provided at a low cost for teachers, educators, homeschooling parents, camps, and schools. LaShon also coaches businesses in Financial literacy, launching products, credit repair, budgeting, and helping them grow their business. After working with LaShon, clients learned how to stay in business, financial tips, marketing strategies, and how to create a business plan to become a successful childcare owner. LaShon Carter understands the purpose that God gave her. Her favorite bible verse is Luke 1:37 “With God all things are possible.”

March of 2015, Tiny Tigers Learning Center has been in the heart of Lashon Carter. I have always wanted to provide quality childcare services and environments for parents to feel safe and secure and for children to have their needs met. I have also wanted to employ quality people to partner with me, make Tiny Tigers Learning Center a success, and help staff members realize their goals and dreams. Although this may be easier said than done, I have created this handbook to make “doing it” a lot easier than just saying it.

At Tiny Tigers Learning Center we recruit staff with passion, enthusiasm and a never-ending commitment to the children. Parents are always assured that their child is happy, because their interests were nurtured, and their individuality respected. Our teachers and caregivers are selected based on their knowledge of early childhood education, professional experience and their love for children.

Tiny Tigers learning center is committed to training and developing the capable staff we recruit. Our teachers are trained not only to master our programs and to follow our policies for safety, discipline, nutrition, and parent participation in the learning process but also to keep our employees up to date on the latest childcare developments, policies and procedures, and to empower and inspire them, so they have the knowledge and vision to deliver the best possible care to your children. Teachers are required to complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of professional development trainings per calendar year.

All our teachers are required to have the following before they start working with us:

* A requiring state mandated background checks
* A rrequiring medical clearance,
* CPR/First Aid Certifications, and
* Verifiable references.
